Overview of university policy

The organizational structure of the university includes various administrative and political bodies that shape the academic and structural framework of the university. As a student, you can participate directly in some of these bodies. The central bodies and their functions are explained below.

AStA (General Students' Committee)

The AStA is the political representation of students and the executive body of the constituted student body at universities in NRW. The AStA is elected annually by the student parliament and represents your interests.

It also offers housing and job placement services, a bicycle repair shop and information about the semester ticket. Our student council finances are also audited by the AStA.
